Journal 4

In my last week of teaching practices, my MST was absent for two days because she was sick, so they arranged another teacher to teach the children. I like the new teacher teaching lesson due to using physical and emotional skills while she studied. For example, when she sings the song of the letter, she starts telling the children to move and using excellent motor skills to show the pronunciation of the message. She started scaffolding the children who found it challenging to write the letter. On the other hand, the other children started crying and want their first teacher. Ms.Chriselle didn't use any supporting for children because she think the children have to learn by themselves. She used only to tell them to go back and correct the writing. So, some children try to communicate with other children to learn as Vygotsky theory said the children learn by interaction with each other. I think sometimes we should act as a teacher scaffold the children, but sometimes, we should let them depend on their selves. I think she should balance between two situations. Also, another new teacher came to teach them math; she looks friendly and kind. I like her teaching. She started first to explain what they will do, then take the book and do their class homework.
