Planning For Learning Definition
It is a learning plan that comprehensive document that is used to outline development and learning activities over some time. It is also referred to as a multi-day and customized plan for assessment and instructions. the teacher can achieve desired outcomes in learning. It ensures clarity so that the progress is orderly and efficient. It is essential to interpret what the term learning includes before creating a suitable plan( Bhasin, 2021).
A lesson plan serves as a guide that a teacher uses every day to determine what the students will learn, how the lesson will be taught as well as how learning will be evaluated. Lesson plans enable teachers to function more effectively in the classroom by giving a detailed outline that they adhere to during each class. This helps to make sure that every moment spent in class is used to teach meaningful concepts and have worthwhile discussions rather than figuring out what you are supposed to do as time goes on.
Lesson plans generally consist of essential components such as objectives, requirements, resources, procedures, and evaluation techniques. Since every part of an effective lesson plan has an impact on the learning process for students, it is crucial to handle them by taking a strategic approach.
A lesson plan is a vital step toward creating a complete curriculum. It delves deeper into the details to make sure that you provide your students with the right information at an appropriate time while making your career easier by giving you a clear sense of direction that you can follow each day(Importance of Lesson Plan for Teachers and Students, 2020).
During Teaching Practices, I accomplished several works, including creating lesson plans, creating Combination virtual lessons, and creating differentiation activities for all subjects. I focused a lot on students learning by planning for learning. One of the most effective planning areas related to preparing activities according to students' learning styles, contributes to improving students' learning. the multiple intelligences theory can apply to online learning which develops the student strength by doing activities. Also, Piaget's theory suggested that teachers have a role to involve children by providing them with appropriate learning and materials. His theory influenced concepts of individual and student-centered learning, formative assessment, active learning, discovery learning, and peer interaction (Dierking, 1991)
Reflection
planning education often has a strong focus on knowledge, methods, and tools about how to plan. The ability to reflect critically on planning practices enhances the students’ capability of understanding planning practices and consequently their ability to choose how to plan in a specific situation. During my planning for these lessons and how to deliver it as a teacher. The teacher needs to plan on the student's level and depend on theory to plan the lesson. the students learn how to create plans and how to facilitate planning processes. They learn how to take account of the different land use developments, how to comprehend differing spatial claims, how to generate planning alternatives, and how to organize planning processes. These aspects of planning education are strongly orientated towards the production and realization of plans and take in the technical, the methodical, and the ethical aspects of planning. It is about making better plans, finding better solutions, and pursuing more democratic decision-making processes( Neuvel, 2007).
